Thank you, all, for the help. I looked into some of the ISOs linked and couldn't find one that validated. Experimented around a bit and found that they would at least boot the system! Eventually, a colleague turned up with a stack of Vista disks, only one of them worked with the OEM number on the side of the box. I was unable to get Vista installed as the computer kept blue screening out on me, started running some hardware diagnostics and found bad RAM and probably a bad processor as well. As noted, this is an OLD machine.
