Calligraphy Computer Programs
For the best answers, search on this site Why are so many people saying that it's tacky not to hand write the envelopes?? When people get the invite, they RIP open the envelope, and 99 times out of 100 it goes straight in the trash and that's the last anyone sees of the envelope.
Any of you who are already married, go ahead and ask your guests if they actually remember whether or not you hand wrote their address on the label. Plus, talk to ANYONE who works at a post office and actually has to try and read the addresses to get these things where they need to go to. They would MUCH rather have the address neatly printed in a legible font, not some scrolly calligraphy or anything other than Times New Roman or some other equally easy to read font. A cousin of mine actually had invites come back return to sender with the big ugly return to sender stamp on them because she hired some caligrapher who did AMAZING work but the post office had such a hard time sorting through them that they didn't all get sent! My suggestion though would be to not print directly on the envelope because that would require typing each envelope one at a time, feeding it through the printer and hoping your aim is straight (My printer has a slot for envelopes but I know a lot of them don't) and then doing the same thing for however many envelopes you have. Get some clear labels, read the instructions, type ALL your addresses and such out onto the labels, print them all at once, and away you go.
